We stated that in our opinion all
the painting necessary could be done by men slung in bosun's chairs, more conveniently and satisfactorily than by means of ladders to be specially provided.
We concluded by saying that we had used the type of mast proposed in practically every sort of climate, and they had given us no trouble whatever.
